Waterfront and Environmental Affairs: Bert Buell, Brooke Avenue (410–268–5663), chair. This one is for anyone with an interest in our waterfront or environment.

Membership/Welcoming: Chris and Jim Scanlon, Murray Avenue (410–268–2188), are heading up this committee to welcome new members to the neighborhood.

Neighborhood Improvement Award: John Sherwood, Southgate Avenue (410–269–1907), and Joyce Hartnett, Steele Avenue (410–990–0923), are leading the effort to recognize outstanding examples of commercial or residential rehabilitation in our neighborhood.

Land Use: Denise Worthen, Southgate Avenue (410–263– 1683), chair, The committee delves into the details of site plans, architectural renderings, and traffic studies for projects in and around Murray Hill and Spa View Heights.

Communications with our residents is one of our most important functions and if you have ideas about how we can be more effective, this is the place for you.

Other committees that are just forming include:
Social Committee, which will plan and run the annual picnic.
City Elections Committee, which will plan and organize a meet the candidates night for the 2009 City elections.
Parking and Traffic Committee, which will address parking and traffic issues in and around our neighborhood.
We also want to start planning the 125th anniversary year of Murray Hill (2015) by organizing a group to update and reissue the Murray Hill centennial history.
